The goal of a Backgammon match is to move your chips around the Backgammon board and pull them off the board quicker than your challenger who works just as hard to achieve the same buthowever they move in the opposing direction. Succeeding in a game of Backgammon requires both strategy and fortune. Just how far you will be able to shift your checkers is left to the numbers from rolling the dice, and just how you shift your chips are determined by your overall gambling plans. Enthusiasts use differing plans in the differing parts of a match dependent on your positions and opponent’s.
The Running Game Tactic
The aim of the Running Game tactic is to bring all your pieces into your home board and bear them off as quick as you could. This strategy focuses on the pace of advancing your checkers with little or no efforts to hit or block your competitor’s pieces. The ideal scenario to use this technique is when you think you might be able to shift your own chips faster than your opposition does: when 1) you have a fewer chips on the board; 2) all your chips have past your opponent’s chips; or 3) the opponent doesn’t employ the hitting or blocking plan.
The Blocking Game Tactic
The primary aim of the blocking plan, by its name, is to block the competitor’s chips, temporarily, not fretting about moving your pieces rapidly. As soon as you have created the blockage for your competitor’s movement with a few pieces, you can shift your other checkers swiftly from the game board. You should also have a clear strategy when to back off and shift the checkers that you employed for the blockade. The game becomes interesting when the opposition uses the same blocking tactic.
