The objective of a Backgammon game is to shift your chips around the Backgammon board and bear them off the board quicker than your challenger who works just as hard to attempt the same buthowever they move in the opposite direction. Succeeding in a round in Backgammon requires both tactics and fortune. How far you will be able to move your chips is left to the numbers from rolling a pair of dice, and the way you shift your chips are decided on by your overall playing techniques. Enthusiasts use different tactics in the different stages of a match dependent on your positions and opponent’s.
The Running Game Tactic
The goal of the Running Game plan is to lure all your chips into your inner board and bear them off as fast as you could. This tactic concentrates on the pace of advancing your pieces with no efforts to hit or barricade your opponent’s pieces. The best scenario to employ this tactic is when you believe you can shift your own checkers faster than your opposing player does: when 1) you have a fewer chips on the board; 2) all your chips have moved beyond your opponent’s pieces; or 3) your opposing player doesn’t employ the hitting or blocking plan.
The Blocking Game Tactic
The main aim of the blocking technique, by the name, is to block your opponent’s chips, temporarily, not worrying about moving your pieces rapidly. After you’ve established the blockage for the opponent’s movement with a few pieces, you can shift your other pieces quickly from the board. The player really should also have a clear strategy when to withdraw and shift the pieces that you used for blocking. The game becomes interesting when your opponent utilizes the same blocking strategy.
